Support Coordinator

E-mail: Cameron.McMullen@coastalconnectindependence.com.au

Cameron, a new Support Coordinator at CCI, is dedicated to helping individuals access the right supports and services so they can live with greater independence and wellbeing. He specialises in person-centred planning, service coordination, and advocacy, working closely with participants, families, and providers to develop practical, encouraging, and sustainable plans. He prides himself on clear communication, strong organisational skills, and a collaborative approach that respects each person’s goals and choices. Whether it’s connecting someone with local services, resolving issues with providers, or helping implement a support plan, Cameron is committed to delivering compassionate, effective coordination. He is passionate about encouraging those around him to live their best life and enjoys helping people achieve their goals.

Cameron has been on the NDIS scheme for nine years, after becoming a C5-C6 quadriplegic in 2011 following a diving accident. He believes the NDIS is an amazing system that provides invaluable supports and services to individuals. Having lived experience, he understands first-hand the challenges people may face when coordinating their plans and goals, but believes that with the right approach, most things are achievable. The NDIS has enabled him to live independently, fund van modifications to self-drive, enjoy family trips, support daily activities such as gym and swimming, and explore more adventurous experiences like adaptive skydiving, kayaking, surfing, snorkelling, and helicopter rides.

Outside of work, Cameron enjoys spending time with his two teenage boys and two dogs, exploring the local area from beaches to bush, capturing drone photography, and being with family and friends. Friends and family describe Cameron as outgoing, friendly, and compassionate, with a positive attitude toward life. He is always seeking new adventures and experiences, living life to its fullest.
