Brad is here to assist participants in the community and also at home to teach them new skills, help grow each individual’s current skills and build confidence within themselves while assisting them in their day to day life, to achieve long term and short term goals they may have.
Brad committed himself to working in the retail industry for one of the major food retailers for 15 years, working with a wide variety of people in a number of different managerial rolls while also managing his own investment property portfolio. Brad has always had a burning desire to help people so he decided upon a career change to enable himself to fully utilise his caring and compassionate qualities to assist and enrich the lives of others.
As with all the other support professionals here at Coastal Connect Independence, you can rest assured Brad is compliant in the training provided and all of the legal checks associated with being a Support Professional. He is also in the process of enrolling to further his knowledge within this sector by completing Certificate III in Individual Support in the near future.
Brad was born in the UK and immigrated to Australia in 2002. In his spare time Brad enjoys keeping active by going on bush walks with his family and participating in fitness activities to keep himself physically and mentally fit. He loves being outdoors in nature, enjoying a coffee, attending weekend markets, meeting new people, reading, cooking, meal prepping, watching movies, swimming and spending time at the beach.
Brad is inspired by the thought of helping people set positive habits within their day to day life to assist them in becoming more independent and live a confident lifestyle. Brad understands that he can’t solve everyone’s challenges but he can be by their side to help them overcome the obstacles they may face each day.
Since taking on the roll as a Support Professional what motivates Brad the most and gets him out of bed in the mornings, is the new found sense of responsibility he feels, the purpose and achievement within his life to provide care to individuals that will enrich their life and assist them as they achieve each goal one step at a time.
