Brief info
Lake’s role at Coastal Connect Independence is to work with the Support Professionals, Participants, Families and Carers to ensure a quality service is delivered.
Lakes role has a variety of administrative duties which include human resources, compliance and managements tasks.
Lake has been working in the Disability sector in a variety of roles, firstly as a Support Worker, then in administration and scheduling before stepping up into a service delivery position.
Lake is currently studying to further her knowledge and skills within the sector. Working in and gaining knowledge and experience about the various roles within the sector has given Lake a passion for making sure that every voice is heard, understood, and advocated for.
Before working in the disability sector Lake was a Beauty, Massage and Bowen Therapist for 12 years and for a short time was a Dental Assistant.
In her free time Lake enjoys reading, especially the suspense novels of Dan Brown, and spending time with family, her birds and dog.
Lake models her work ethic around her own mantra of you often find a solution to a problem by coming at it from multiple angles. Getting to know people, their wants and needs, their strengths and aspirations and finding people that bring out the best in each other is what Lake aims to do every day.
