Lisa James
Support Professional
Lisa has recently joined the team as a Support Professional, bringing with her a genuine passion for helping people live fulfilling and independent lives.
Before stepping into this role, Lisa spent over 30 years as a veterinary nurse—a career that taught her patience, compassion, and empathy. Alongside this, she has also worked as a respite carer for DCJ, supporting young children, and has many years of experience assisting individuals and families living with autism, ADHD, anxiety, and a wide range of mental health needs. Lisa has also completed a Youth Mental Health Certificate to strengthen her skills in this area.
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys walking her two dogs and exploring local walking tracks. She loves spending time with her two children—her 21-year-old daughter and 19-year-old son—as well as relaxing with music, yoga, meditation, a good movie, or a book.
Lisa believes that gratitude, positivity, and enjoying life’s simple pleasures are the keys to happiness and wellbeing. She is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, guided by the belief that the most worthwhile thing in life is to bring happiness to others.
